for his photography of Stolen. The award was presented to Rob Hardy BSC by Guest of Honour Dustin Hoffman at the BSC Operators Night at Pinewood Studios on Friday 18th December 2011. Other accolades went to Mike Proudfoot, Associate BSC who received the Panavision sponsored ACO/BSC/GBCT Operators Award for his operating on ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ (Part 2); to ARRI, who received the BSC Bert Easy Technical Award, for their development of the ARRI Alexa Studio, pictured below, Russell Allen, John de Borman, Judith Petty and Dustin Hoffman. and to Tommy Moran, who received the BSC ARRI John Alcott Award in recognition of his many years of support and service to the Camera Department. The company were delighted to welcome Guest of Honour, Dustin Hoffman with his lovely wife Lisa. Hoffman is over in the UK filming, Quartet his directional debut with cinematographer BSC President John de Borman BSC.
Panavision kindly sponsored the wine for the event and a plethora of delightful raffle prizes donated by ARRI Media, Deluxe, Chapman Leonard, Fuji, Kodak, Lee Filters, Movietech, Panalux, Sir Sydney Samuelson CBE BSC, Take 2 Films and Technicolor helped raised £2145 for the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.
