The management of the Society is undertaken by a Board of Governors elected at the A.G.M. who are full members of the BSC and mainly Directors of Photography. In accordance with the Rules of the Society, the President, voted in by the board of governors, is always a Director of Photography. Click here for full list of Presidents The Governors are supported by a paid Secretary; a role originally held by Bert Easey and followed by George Gunn, Les Smart, Joan Calvert and since 1983 by Frances Russell, who currently manages all the administrative and financial affairs, ably assisted by Gemma Davies.
